Introduction

I am an emergency medicine physician practicing primarily at Cook County Hospital but concurrently moonlighting in community hospitals for the last 31 years. I have extensive experience with chart review, public speaking and literature review based on retrospective analysis of cases in Morbidity and Mortality Conferences over the last 30 years and being the Journal Club coordinator for 20 years. My primary responsibilities at Cook County in addition to direct patient care have centered around training medical professionals. I currently teach pathophysiology at Dominican University. One of my unique attributes is that I am able to take complex information and break it down into easy to understand concepts.

Historically I spent some time with reviewing cases with the state's attorney and I really enjoyed the process. At the time I was early in my career and working toward becoming associate residency director so I could not devote enough time to the process. I am at the other end of my career now and would like to revisit this type of work.

I am happy to participate in case review, depositions and courtroom testimony.

Samples of my educational activities can be found on you tube. Shari Schabowski @sharischabowski1777
