I have over 15 years of specialized experience in maternal-fetal medicine, focusing on high-risk pregnancies and complex fetal interventions. My expertise lies in prenatal diagnosis and complex deliveries. My work bridges cutting-edge research and clinical application, providing a unique perspective that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on surgical expertise. I am dual board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as maternal-fetal medicine.
Throughout my career, I have contributed to over 20 cases as a consulting or testifying expert witness, assisting attorneys in matters ranging from medical malpractice to standard-of-care evaluations. My extensive experience in both academic medicine and clinical practice allows me to analyze cases with precision and provide clear, evidence-based opinions.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have an extensive research portfolio, with over 300 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as The American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (AJOG) and The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). I have also co-authored several textbook chapters on fetal surgery and maternal-fetal health. My academic contributions are complemented by numerous national and international presentations. In addition, I am actively involved in academic leadership as Vice Chair of the SMFM Education Committee, Co-editor-in-Chief of the Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology Journal, Chair of the Steering Committee of the North American Fetal Therapy Network (NAFTNet), Board Director of International Society of Perinatal Diagnosis (ISPD) and Board Director of World Association of Perinatal Medicine (WAPM).
What sets me apart as an expert is my ability to communicate complex medical concepts in a clear and accessible manner, making me an effective collaborator for legal teams and a credible witness in court. I am meticulous in my analysis, committed to providing unbiased, well-documented opinions, and highly adaptable to the nuances of each case.
