I grew up in Los Angeles. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I worked at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in high school. I was also trained as an EMT 1A. After attending UC Berkeley in undergraduate training, I attended medical school at Boston University. I returned to California by attending Harbor-UCLA for residency and fellowship. My first full-time job in medicine was at Desert Regional Medical Center in private practice. I have held positions in pharmacy/therapeutics, credentialing, medicine chair, and peer review.
