Cathleen Muller, BAAS, RN, CWON, has six years of board certification from the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurse Society and 11 years as a registered nurse. She has extensive experience in assessing and treating a variety of acute and chronic complex wounds, including pressure injuries, vascular wounds, diabetic ulcers, ostomies, fistulas and more. Her expertise includes diverse use of wound products, negative pressure wound therapy, debridement techniques, off-loading methods, and pouching systems.
Cathleen has devoted her career to wound care management in diverse settings, including a level II trauma center, home health care, and outpatient clinics. Cathleen collaborates closely with various healthcare teams, including trauma surgeons and vascular specialists, to offer insights into wound and ostomy treatment and management. She is an educator and consultant for her peers and other healthcare professionals.
Cathleen is an advocate for quality patient care, driven by her personal experience as a mother of a child with a disability. This passion fuels her commitment to timely, evidence-based, and dignified care.
