Dr. Franklin W. Lusby, Jr. is a distinguished ophthalmologist and refractive surgeon with a robust career spanning over four decades. Born and raised in Maryland, he completed his undergraduate education at Columbia Union College with a B.A. in Chemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1974. He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1978.

Following an internship at Malden Hospital affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Lusby pursued pre-residency studies in Basic and Clinical Sciences for Ophthalmology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. He then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at White Memorial Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, in 1983, and further specialized with a fellowship in extracapsular cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation at Glendale Eye Medical Group.

Dr. Lusby is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds medical licenses in California and Nevada. He has an extensive background in refractive surgery, having performed over 85,000 LASIK procedures. His certifications span numerous advanced refractive surgery techniques and laser systems, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of his field.

In his professional career, Dr. Lusby has held numerous medical directorships, including at Pacific Laser Eye Center, Maloney-Lusby Vision Institute, and NVISION Eye Centers. He currently serves as the Medical Director at NVISION Eye Centers in Fullerton and Torrance, California.

Dr. Lusby is a member of several prestigious medical societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
