He's been a member of the Signals Technical Committee (STC) of the National Committee on Uniforn Traffic Control Devices (NCUTCD) for over 15 years, is the 2008 Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) District 9 Engineer of the Year, and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
