Introduction

James T. Clemente worked for the FBI for 22 years where he has been qualified as an expert witness in the areas of Child Sexual Offender Behavior, Child Sexual Victimization, Child Abduction, and Child Pornography. Mr. Clemente joined the FBI in 1987 and his first assignment was with the New York Field Division’s Joint FBI/NYPD Sexual Exploitation of Children Task Force. In 1998, he was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent in the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime, Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU)—an integral part of the Critical Incident Response Group that provides behavioral support during all FBI crisis incidents. Its mission is to provide criminal investigative analysis of Violent, Sexual, and Serial Crimes as a resource available to law enforcement agencies worldwide. All BAU members perform case analysis, conduct research, and provide training. BAU members also provide on-site Crime Scene Analysis, Case Consultation, Crime Reconstruction, Investigative Strategies, Interview and Interrogation Strategies, Prosecutive Strategies, Statement Analysis, Other Related Services, and Expert Testimony. Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Clemente headed the Child Sex Crimes Prosecution Team for the New York City Law Department, Bronx, NY.

Since retiring from the FBI Mr. Clemente has been providing expert consulting, reports and testimony on behalf of clients of Park Dietz & Associates on matters related to Violent and Sexual Crimes, Abductions, and the investigations thereof. He also lectures to law enforcement and academic audiences across the United States and internationally.
