I am a full time academic OB Hospitalist (OBGYN) for 10+ years, thus working 98% of my time solely on labor and delivery. Before that, I was in a full scope full-time OBGYN for 6 years. I see on average 8-14 patients per shift and I work 15-17 shifts a month. I see patients at all stages of pregnancy in the hospital, including complications presenting to the main emergency department to the OB emergency department (OB triage) , management of antenatal admissions, consults, and of course admissions to labor & delivery and postpartum care. I have reviewed over 150+ cases for the California Medical Board as one of their key OBGYN experts. I have done over 50 both plaintiff and defense medical records review, have participated in 15+ depositions and have testified at trial 8 times.
