Dr. Jeffrey W Buckholz, PhD, PE, PTOE
Jacksonville, FL 32257
Office: 904-886-2171
I have 44 years of hands-on experience in the traffic engineering field. I am a recognized national expert in traffic signal operation, timing, design, and construction and am also proficient in pavement marking design, roadway signing, and work zone traffic control. However, I am not an accident reconstruction expert. I have participated in over 250 cases. I have given both live and videotaped testimony and have testified for both the plaintiff and the defense. It should be emphasized that I am a practicing engineer and that my expert testimony work constitutes only a small part of my engineering practice.
Many auto and truck accidents are caused by deficiencies within the roadway itself. Deficiencies include a wide variety of design and maintenance errors, including improper placement or wording of road signs, missing or confusing pavement markings, or improperly operating traffic signals -- just to name a few. I specialize in the identification and remedy of such design deficiencies and can provide expert testimony in this area.
