Introduction

Jeffrey Lofgran, MD FACP, is a double board-certified internal medicine hospitalist in full-time, active practice specializing in acute and critical care at both regional and community hospitals. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was also Chief Resident. He completed his residency in combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Memorial Herman Hospital and affiliates. He is board certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Areas of expertise include: sepsis, pneumonia, COVID-19, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood clots, and acute heart failure. Dr. Lofgran has teaching experience and is an award recipient as adjunct medical school professor and contributing author of multiple cases in two review textbooks for medical students. He is licensed to practice in Utah and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
