Formal Teaching of Cardiology Fellows:

-2021 - 2024: Fellow’s Clinic Preceptor. ½ day per month I guided 4 cardiology fellows and 1 internal medicine resident on the assessment and treatment of their clinic patients. I assist them in formulating a plan, thinking about the medical literature as it relates to their patients and help them navigate the VA system to get the care their patients need in a timely manner.
-2019-2020: House of Cards Peer mentorship program. Along with another faculty member, founded and co-directed this peer mentorship program meant to foster human connection and social support outside of the traditional professional setting. The program was designed to be run by the fellows themselves because it is meant to serve them and not be a “top down” mandate.
