Dr. van de Laar is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon (ENT). She has 10 years as a physician. During her residency I trained in the Texas Medical Center at a Tertiary Care Hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center and was named "Resident of the Year" three years in a row, including her last year of residency. After my residency she completed the prestigious clinical Rhinology and Sinus and Skull Base fellowship at Vanderbilt University where she also serve as a clinical Otolaryngologist.

In the last 4 years she has practiced in both private practice and hospital settings. She has served both high-density urban patient populations and rural patient populations. This has given her an extensive look into various ENT disease processes and their various treatments.

Additionally, with her sub-specialty training in Sinus and Skull Base surgery, she frequently receives referrals from other ENTs due to need for a higher level of care and she has also treated and managed patients with multiple surgeries and poor outcomes from previous ENT surgeries.

Dr. van de Laar makes it a point to explain anatomy, physiology and pathology with patients in detail in her day-to-day clinical practice. She is very comfortable explaining her medical opinions and describing the clinical reasoning behind those opinion in detail. She considers herself a consummate professional and will expeditiously and thoroughly provide her expert opinions.
