Lawrence Hunter, PhD, was a captain from the Waterbury Police Department in Waterbury, Connecticut. During his time, he instructed numerous courses, including Implicit Bias, Human Behavior (psychology), Civil Complaints, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, and Use of Force. He served as the Commander of the Professional Standards Division and Midnight Shift Commander. The Professional Standards Division encompassed Training and Internal Affairs. He served as a Booking (detention) Officer, Commander, Field Training Officer (FTO), Communications Supervisor, Midnight Shift Commander, Patrol Officer, Supervisor, and Trainer.
