Lisa Nocera, MD
Dr. Lisa Nocera received her medical degree from the University of Buffalo and completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. She completed fellowship programs in Pain Management at both SUNY at Brooklyn and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Nocera is double board certified in anesthesiology and pain management. She is a diplomate of both the American Academy of Pain Medicine and American Academy of Pain Management. She carries Added Qualifications in pain management with the American Board of Anesthesiology.
She is a certified medical acupuncturist with membership in the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Nocera is a recipient of the Patient Choice Award in 2008 and was named one of America’s Top Physicians in 2009 by the Consumer Research Council of America. She is a member of several national pain societies including the American Society of Interventional Pain Management, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Nocera has also been interviewed on KYW radio as a physician expert on the topic of pain management. Areas of interest include pain in the elderly and women’s health.
