Dr. Matthew Garlinghouse

Dr. Garlinghouse completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Dakota. He subsequently completed his APA-approved internship through the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Internship Program, followed by a 4-year fellowship in Neuropsychology and Neuroimaging at Dartmouth Medical School (now Geisel School of Medicine). While there, he focused clinically on cancer, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy. He focused his research on the effects of cannabis on brain reward circuitry under the instruction of leaders in the field including Drs. Green, Saykin, and Roth. Dr. Garlinghouse has held faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and Wayne State School of Medicine. He is presently an Assistant Professor of Neurological Sciences at UNMC, where he assists in the treatment of patients with cancer, epilepsy, dementia, psychiatric disorders, and workman's compensation cases.
