A: 1) Expert Witness Retention and Litigation - Assist in legal matters as a retained expert witness, including examining records and materials, offering verbal consultations, drafting written opinions, and delivering deposition and trial testimony as needed.

2) Certificates and Affidavits of Merit - Evaluate records to assess the merit of potential cases and identify their strengths and weaknesses. Offer verbal consultations to clients and, when relevant, provide and sign a written certificate indicating whether a deviation from the standard of care has taken place, without committing to being retained as an expert witness.

3) Consultation Reviews - Examine records to assess the merit of potential cases and identify strengths and weaknesses. Offer a one-time verbal consultation, clarifying complex concepts, exploring alternative case strategies, assisting with trial preparation, and creating technical questions to help clients gain a better understanding of their case, without providing a formal expert opinion or committing to deposition or trial testimony.

A: A $4,000 non-refundable retention retainer amount is required if retained as an expert witness. This amount is the minimum fee due and is earned upon receipt. Expert will invoice against this retainer.

In lieu of the above hourly rate, duties that reasonably require overnight travel will be billed at the flat rate of $5,000/day on site.

Client is responsible for all reasonable out of pocket expenses including travel, testing, research, copying, storage of evidence or documents, etc.
