Dr. Michael J. Mehnert is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in musculoskeletal injuries, spine care, occupational medicine, sports medicine and electrodiagnostics. Dr. Mehnert previously worked as a physiatrist at Rothman Orthopaedics for over 15 years. He is excited to have moved on to his current practice at Maxim Health and is seeing patients in New Jersey.

Dr. Mehnert earned his medical degree through the prestigious joint BA/MD program at Rutgers University and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He is fellowship trained in musculoskeletal/sports medicine and interventional spine care.

As Clinical Instructor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College since 2008, Dr. Mehnert is also an accomplished researcher and lecturer with numerous publications and presentations in his field. He holds subspecialty board certifications in sports medicine, pain medicine, and electrodiagnostic medicine and is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Spinal Intervention Society (SIS) and the American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
