Over 15 years of combined bedside nursing experience in acute care hospitals with pediatric and adult patients.

Over 10 years of pediatric nursing experience with medically complex children, and pre and post operative patients, including neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, urology, plastic surgery, otolaryngology, and general surgery.

Over 5 years of adult nursing experience, both as a staff nurse and a charge nurse, with stroke patients, end of life care, wound care, substance detoxification and on psychiatry units.

Extensive teaching experience, including registered nurses, undergraduate nursing students and advanced nurse practitioner students. Clinical supervision of nursing students.

Unique knowledge and experience in infection prevention and hospital-acquired infections, including central line-associated bloodstream infections and catheter-associated urinary tract infections.

Extensive experience caring for myelomeningocele, gastroschisis, omphalocele, craniosynostosis, Chiari malformations, seizure disorders, short gut syndrome, spinal fusions, surgical site infections, glioblastomas, craniofacial anomalies including cleft lip/palate, Crouzon’s syndrome, and Treacher Collins.
