Todd Roescher is a Forensic Engineer with Aperture (formerly Biomechanical Research and Testing). Todd has been with Aperture since 2017 and during that time he has conducted over 100 instrumented tests in accident reconstruction, biomechanics, and human factors. He continues to conduct research largely in human factors regarding driver behavior, vision, and emergency response and biomechanics regarding occupant kinematics and seat system performance.

Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in biomechanics and human performance from Drexel University. He has also earned a Master of Science in Human Factors from California State University, Long Beach.

Over the course of his career, Todd has participated in several instrumented crash tests as both a vehicle occupant and test coordinator for conferences, case work, and research purposes. He has also been an author on peer-reviewed research papers published by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). He is also an accredited accident reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionists (ACTAR)

Todd is a proficient user of the FARO 3D Laser Scanner and software such as Engineering Dynamics Corporation’s Human Vehicle Environment (HVE), EOS Systems Inc.’s Photomodeler, and Autodesk’s suite of CAD programs including AutoCAD, Inventor, and 3DS Max. He is currently a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI), California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (CA2RS), the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), and the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES)
