A: 1.) Engagements require a minimum 10 hour retainer. Engagements beyond 10 hours will be billed on a replenishable retainer basis paid in advance of work performed.
2.) Expert reports, summary of opinions, depositions, or court appearances due less than 90 days from the receipt of retainer check, signed retainer agreement, and initial file turnover require an expedite fee. Amount of fee will be determined based on complexity of work required. Depositions require a two-hour minimum fee.
3.) Reports, depositions, and trial appearances shall be provided by the Consultant upon a positive balance in the replenishable retainer account.
4.) Additional terms and the complete offer for expert witness services, including the treatment of travel and out-of-pocket expenses, are specified in the Expert Retainer Agreement to be supplied and signed before engagement commences.
